About this project
One Planet Living in Sutton is a partnership between the London Borough of Sutton and BioRegional. It's an ever-evolving programme of projects that will cover all of the One Planet Living principles and deliver the Sustainability Action Plan. We work with many other partners and share knowledge to ensure that together we come up with the right solutions for a sustainable Sutton.

“Sutton Council has led the way in promoting environmental awareness for over 20 years and we adopted the One Planet Living principles into our environmental sustainability strategy for the borough. So this is part of our ongoing commitment to make Sutton a zero-carbon, One Planet Living borough. Our aim is to encourage everyone in Sutton to use one planet's worth of resources and still live comfortably. At the moment we are all consuming roughly three planet's worth of resources and we need to drastically reduce this because we cannot sustain this over the longer term.” (Cllr Colin Hall, deputy leader of Sutton Council.)
